On July 5th, Yubin uploaded a new video titled 'WonderFul! This is Not a Dream. Wonder Girls Talk About Wonder Girls Reunion? | Yubin's Spotlight EP01. Wonder Girls' on her YouTube channel, Yubin's Spotlight.
The video features four former Wonder Girls members, Sunye (Sun), Ahn So Hee, Yubin, and Hyerim, reminiscing about their past activities as a group and expressing how much they miss those times. They also took the opportunity to promote each other’s current projects.
The members shared some behind-the-scenes stories, recalling that JYP Entertainment originally had no plans to debut a girl group but the Wonder Girls were launched suddenly.
They also mentioned a special collaborative stage they performed with Big Bang, who were then under YG Entertainment. However, fans noted the absence of Sunmi and Yeeun, which left a bittersweet feeling.
Fans of Wonder Girls responded with excitement and anticipation, commenting things like “We miss you” and “Looking forward to it” in response to the reunion talk.
Wonder Girls debuted in 2007 and rose to become one of the most popular second-generation K-pop girl groups, beloved by fans worldwide. The group officially disbanded in 2017.
