A concert featuring G-Dragon as the headliner has sparked heated debate online due to its jaw-dropping premium ticket price.
The upcoming “Madly Medley” music festival, set to take place on October 18–19 at Paradise City in Incheon, offers standard one-day tickets for 118,000 KRW and two-day passes for 148,000 KRW. VIP passes are priced at 248,000 KRW. But drawing the most attention is the ultra-premium “1% ticket”, listed at a staggering 8.88 million KRW (approx. $6,400 USD).

This ticket promises a slew of high-end perks, including access to watch the concert from the main stage, exclusive entry/exit gates, unlimited alcohol, official merchandise, and an after-party invitation. However, organizers noted that for safety reasons, some artists may not allow on-stage viewing.
Online reactions have been mixed:
- “8.88 million to stand on stage and drink? Seriously?”
- “Even for G-Dragon, that’s excessive.”
- “This is targeting wealthy fans, obviously.”
- “Concerts are becoming luxury experiences only for the elite.”
Some speculate that this is a premium marketing move aimed at ultra-rich clientele. One industry insider commented, “It’s like a private concert experience — exclusivity is the selling point.”
Madly Medley markets itself as a festival “for all who love music.” Its first 2025 lineup includes veteran acts like Kim Chang Wan Band, Kim Kwang Jin, and 015B. The after-party features AllDayProject, Sik-K, E SENS, and more.
