Dispute over Song Ha Yoon’s alleged school violence and transfer deepens with conflicting claims.

Controversy continues to grow over actress Song Ha Yoon’s alleged history of school violence and whether she was forcibly transferred during high school, as conflicting claims emerge between the actress and the original accuser, identified as “Oh.”

On July 7th KST, Oh posted a third public statement in an online community titled “I am the victim of Song Ha Yoon’s school violence.” Oh claimed that “Song’s side is using malicious media tactics to frame me as a criminal and shift the focus,” and emphasized that “what the public truly wants to know is why Song Ha Yoon was transferred, and whether it was due to school violence.”

Oh argued that “there is consistent testimony from numerous classmates and witnesses that Song was forcibly transferred from Banpo High School to Gujeong High School not voluntarily, but as a result of disciplinary action (Measure No. 8 – Forced Transfer) after being identified as a perpetrator in a group assault.”

As a U.S. citizen currently residing in America, Oh addressed reports that they had been placed on a wanted list for failing to cooperate with the police investigation. Oh stated, “I clearly explained my inability to appear in person due to living overseas, and the investigation was suspended. A ‘notice of summons’ is different from being officially ‘wanted.’ It is simply an administrative step indicating a suspended investigation due to long-term overseas residence.”

Oh added, “Equating a summons with being a fugitive is a malicious distortion of the facts intended to frame me as a criminal. Such claims constitute defamation, and I will pursue legal action.”

Oh first made allegations against Song Ha Yoon in April of last year via JTBC’s 'Crime Chief', claiming that in August 2004, during their high school years, Song slapped them repeatedly for 90 minutes. Oh also released Instagram DMs and KakaoTalk messages exchanged with Song’s agency representative.

At the time, Song firmly denied the allegations, stating she had “no acquaintance or contact with the accuser.” Her agency, King Kong by Starship, also issued a firm denial, saying “none of the claims are true,” and warned of potential civil and criminal action against the accuser and the program’s broadcast.

On July 2nd, Song’s legal team from Law Firm Ji-eum announced, “We have filed a criminal complaint against Oh for defamation under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and obstruction of business through fraud. Police attempted to proceed with the investigation, but Oh refused to cooperate, claiming to be a U.S. citizen. In May, Oh was issued a notice of summons and placed on a wanted list.”

The statement added that Song Ha Yoon’s side is considering legal action in the United States and may also pursue civil and criminal responsibility against others involved in spreading false claims.

In response, Oh maintained, “I have never fabricated or distorted the truth and am considering legal action for false accusation.” On July 5th, Ji-eum reaffirmed, “Oh has indeed been placed under notice of summons. Song Ha Yoon never assaulted Oh, and we have submitted multiple pieces of evidence, including her school records, to prove that no forced transfer ever occurred.”
