Girl group SAY MY NAME is taking on a new challenge, expanding into voice acting and anime soundtracks.
Members Hitomi and Mei have been cast as twin cat sisters in the Japanese TV animation series 'POCHAZ', marking their first venture as voice actors.
Adding to the excitement, SAY MY NAME’s song “ShaLala (Japanese Ver)” has been chosen as the new ending theme for 'POCHAZ', making the collaboration especially meaningful for fans.
Sharing their thoughts, Hitomi and Mei expressed:
“We’ve always wanted to try voice acting, so it’s an honor to be part of this project. We’re also thrilled that the Japanese version of ‘ShaLala’ was selected as the ending theme. We hope everyone enjoys the show and the song together.”
POCHAZ is a TV animation series co-produced by Fuji TV and DLE Inc., and airs weekly on EXITV every Tuesday.
Meanwhile, SAY MY NAME is gearing up for their comeback with their first single “iLy,” which interpolates Frankie Valli’s classic “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.” The group promises to deliver a refreshing summer track that captures the hearts of fans.
SAY MY NAME’s debut single “iLy” will be released on August 1st at 6 PM KST.
