Singer BoA has donated ₩100 million (approximately $77,000 USD) to the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Samsung Medical Center, her agency SM Entertainment announced on July 30th KST.
The donation will be used to support orthopedic patients who face financial difficulties and are unable to afford non-covered treatments.
BoA recently underwent surgery and recovery after being diagnosed with acute osteonecrosis. She made the donation in hopes of offering both emotional comfort and practical help to others going through similar challenges.
Previously, BoA donated ₩100 million to support youth aging out of institutional care and joined the Honor Society as its 3,100th member, as well as the W Honor Society as its 700th female member. She also gave ₩50 million to Asan Medical Center to help fund treatment for pediatric cancer patients on Children’s Day—further demonstrating her long-standing commitment to sharing and social responsibility.
Meanwhile, BoA is set to release her 11th full-length album 'Crazier' on August 4th, in celebration of her 25th debut anniversary.
