The upcoming Genie TV original drama 'My Troublesome Star' has unveiled its official teaser poster and first trailer on July 16.
Starring Uhm Jung Hwa and Song Seung Hun, the romantic comedy is set to premiere on August 18 at 10 PM KST. The series promises an emotional and entertaining journey as a once-glamorous star faces a new reality after losing 25 years of her memory.
'My Troublesome Star' tells the story of Bong Cheong Ja, played by Uhm Jung Hwa, a former top celebrity who wakes up one day with no memory of the past 25 years. She finds herself in the body of a middle-aged woman, struggling to adjust to a drastically changed world. Helping her along the way is Dokgo Chul, played by Song Seung Hun, a lone-wolf traffic officer whose life takes an unexpected turn after meeting her. The drama follows their chaotic and heartfelt journey as they confront the past and rediscover themselves.
The series is directed by Choi Young Hoon, known for his work on 'One the Woman' and 'Good Casting.' The script is written by Park Ji Ha, who previously impressed audiences with 'Miss Night and Day.' The reunion of this trusted creative team has raised anticipation among viewers looking for a fresh yet meaningful romantic comedy.
