The countdown to battle has begun. On July 23, the production team behind 'Twelve,' a new fantasy action series directed by Kang Dae Gyu and Han Yoon Seon and produced by STUDIO X+U, released the main trailer, building excitement ahead of its upcoming premiere on Disney+ and KBS2.
'Twelve' tells the story of a group of celestial guardians known as the Twelve Angels. These beings possess the powers of the Korean zodiac and live among humans to protect the world from evil. As darkness resurfaces, the angels must recover their sealed powers and confront powerful villains intent on turning the world into chaos.
The trailer opens with Taesan, played by Ma Dong Seok, and Marok, played by Sung Dong Il. Once victors in an ancient war against evil, the two have lived quiet lives after losing their comrades in battle. Their peace is broken when O Gwi, portrayed by Park Hyungsik, reappears and threatens to disrupt the world’s fragile balance.
Sam In, played by Kim Chan Hyung, has followed the forces of darkness for thousands of years. After awakening O Gwi, he sets a plan in motion to restore an even greater power that could turn the world into a living hell. Together, they begin to hunt Mir, portrayed by Lee Joo Bin, the reincarnation of the dragon's soul and a key to their sinister ambitions.
Meanwhile, Taesan and Marok join forces with Wonsung, Donnie, Kangji, Jwidor, Malsook, and Bang Ul. Played by Seo In Guk, Ko Kyu Pil, Kang Mi-Na, Sung Yoo Bin, Ahn Ji Hye, and Regina Lei respectively, these angels fight to reclaim their powers and protect Mir. As the forces of evil grow stronger, the fate of the world hangs in the balance.
With high-stakes action, supernatural battles, and a compelling ensemble cast, 'Twelve' is set to deliver a gripping viewing experience. The eight-part series premieres on August 23 on Disney+ and KBS2.
