Park Bogum’s drama 'Good Boy' began airing on May 31 and recently concluded with its final episode, bringing the intense crime-fighting journey to a dramatic close.
The story follows a group of former elite athletes who, facing financial struggles, injuries, and short-lived careers, become special police officers. Together, they form a unique team to fight violent crime using the skills they gained as athletes.

Over 16 gripping episodes, the Special Criminal Investigation Team (SCIT), made up of Yoon Dong-ju, Ji Han-na, Kim Jong Hyeon, Shin Jae Hong, and their leader Go Man Sik, is locked in a fierce battle against Min Jooyeong. Once a customs officer, Jooyeong rises to become a ruthless crime boss controlling smuggling, drugs, and political influence in Insung City, all marked by his signature wristwatches.
Let’s take a look back at everything that happened across the full series.
Formation of The “Good Boys” Unit
Dong Ju, Hanna, Jong Hyeon, Jae Hong, and Man Sik come together as SCIT following separate brushes with corruption and athletic legacy. Driven by a shared conviction to take down crime, they begin investigating Golden Bunny’s smuggling ring, only to reveal Joo-yeong as the cunning mastermind behind it.

Wristwatch Link & First Confrontations
Evidence ties the hit-and-run and smuggling cases together via Joo‑yeong’s signature watches worn by his underlings. Han‑na begins searching deeper into both current crimes and her own father’s mysterious death. Dong‑ju’s aggressive pursuit sets the tone, his evidence-hunting leads to explosive confrontations with Joo Yeong’s goons.

Uncovering the Drug “Candy” Operation
The team untangles a massive drug-smuggling operation named “Candy,” involving the mayor’s son, Coach Oh’s logistics front, Russian mafia, and Joo Yeong’s control of customs. They endure tunnel brawls, ambushes, and near-fatal raids as the criminal enterprise fights back fiercely.
Personal Stakes & Growing Resolve
Detailed backstories emerge, Han Na’s migraines and connection to her father’s unsolved case; Dong Ju’s doping allegations and enduring love for Han Na; Jong Hyeon’s family tensions; Man Sik’s quiet support, and drug queenpin Drugmon seeking personal redemption. These add emotional weight to their mission.

Public Victory, Private Costs
Despite heroic undercover operations, including tunnelling and live streaming of Joo‑yeong’s crimes, the SCIT is officially disbanded. Joo Yeong retaliates violently, shooting Han-na (her bulletproof vest saves her), murdering key informants, and deepening his grip on power. Some members face suspension, and Dong Ju continues the fight covertly.

Shocking Betrayals Revealed
SCIT team members take independent action: Dong Ju seeks vigilante justice; Han-na streamlines proof of Jooyeong’s crimes, including the definitive murder evidence captured on her father’s camera. Joo Yeong’s true origins surface, he is the son of smuggler Oh Dollar, and past alliances are shattered in a dramatic raid reveal.
Climactic Pre-Finale Action
In a blaze of gunfire, hand-to-hand combat, grenades, and live broadcasts, SCIT storms a penthouse symbolic of Jooyeong’s empire. The explosive showdown frees Drugmon and captures his underlings, but Joo Yeong again slips away amid the chaos. Dong‑ju ends badly injured, while evidence metastasizes across the city.

Final Threads Leading to Episode 16
As the team regroups, Joo Yeong’s empire starts to collapse. Documents and digital proof emerge, linking top officials to his crimes. The mayor and other high-ranking personnel are implicated. Dong-ju, despite health struggles, returns to help bring the case to a close.

Unraveling the Mastermind’s Last Moves
Joo-yeong tries to escape and manipulates the Insung Mayor to destroy evidence. Gunfights break out at a warehouse, and the team finds clues leading to the Yeonsang-gu Public Library, where key documents are hidden. The Mayor is caught attempting to flee with cash.
Dong Ju’s Condition And Final Confrontation
Dong-ju, now secretly blind due to Punch-drunk syndrome, defeats Oh Jong-gu and gets him arrested. Ju-yeong attempts to trade with the Japanese Yakuza, using the drug Candy. An explosion at a Candy-filled truck nearly kills the team, and three more explosions rock the city.

Tension at the Victory Hotel
The team learns Ju-yeong plans to kill major officials during a shareholder meeting at the Victory Hotel. The building is rigged with sodium cyanide gas. The SCIT manages to evacuate the hotel just in time, while Dong-ju crashes through a window to help others escape.

Final Capture of Juyeong
Juyeong is cornered at a dock by the Yakuza but rescued and arrested by Dong-ju and Jong-hyeon after a final brawl. Dong-ju handcuffs him underwater and drags him to shore. Ju-yeong is finally captured and brought to justice.

How 'Good Boy' Ends
Dong Ju goes through rehab for his condition, supported by Han-na. He confronts Juyeong in prison, who scoffs at the idea that change is possible. That night, Juyeong is choked by a prison guard. The team is celebrated, and Mansik learns his wife is pregnant.
The story ends with justice served and hope for the future, as the team’s sacrifices finally pay off.
