A day ahead of the highly-anticipated premiere of Mnet's massive scale boy group audition program 'Boys II Planet', an anonymous netizen has come forward with accusations of trainee bullying directed at contestant Kim Geon Woo.
Previously, Kim Geon Woo was revealed as the winner of the highly coveted "center" position for the 'Boys II Planet' signal song, "HOLA SOLAR" (Planet K version).

Then, on July 16 KST, an anonymous netizen came forward using an X account to accuse Kim Geon Woo of severe bullying during his trainee days at 'Company B'.
The netizen began, "I am writing this to make known contestant Kim Geon Woo's wrongful past and poor character as soon as possible, in the hopes of lessening the damages which may be suffered by the program currently awaiting premiere."
The anonymous netizen then claimed, "Around 2 years ago, Kim Geon Woo was a trainee at 'Company B'. His nickname among the other trainees was 'King of Company B'. This was because Kim Geon Woo was favored by 'Chief S' and 'Director K' of the rookie development team. These two team members had such great influence over the rookie development team that even the other employees treated Kim Geon Woo as if he were their superior."
According to the anonymous netizen, there was "such blatant favoritism toward Kim Geon Woo during the monthly evaluations that even the vocal and dance trainers hired from the outside raised questions of fairness."
Furthermore, the anonymous poster accused Kim Geon Woo of "attending drinking outings with 'Chief S' and 'Director K' along with another famous trainee" and "vacationing in Japan with 'Chief S' and 'Director K' and another famous trainee" using company funds. Later on, Kim Geon Woo, 'Chief S', and 'Director K' left the company due to "unknown reasons", although it was suspected that they were found out for "embezzlement".
Prior to his departure from 'Company B', according to the anonymous accuser, Kim Geon Woo acted exactly like a "school bully" in front of the other trainees, "one even worse than Park Yeon Jin of 'The Glory'."
The accuser wrote that "All other trainees had to bow to Kim Geon Woo whenever they saw him, or else everyone would be scolded by Kim Geon Woo himself," and that "Practically every trainee, most of whom were minors at the time, cowered in fear at the presence of Kim Geon Woo." Some even developed depression and anxiety disorder and went on to receive "counseling and treatment". However, when the trainees went to 'Director K' to resolve the issue, the director simply said, "You must resolve these disputes amongst yourselves."
Finally, the anonymous netizen argued, "Bullying of any form, whether at school or in the workplace, must be eradicated, and those responsible for committing such acts must pay for their crimes and reflect on their wrongdoings." The accuser then shared patient records of an individual seeing a therapist and being prescribed medicine for mental illnesses, claiming that there was "more evidence to be revealed".
