
The Korean blockbuster sci-fi fantasy action film 'Omniscient Reader: The Prophet', starring Ahn Hyo Seop and Lee Min Ho, will premiere in theaters in 113 countries worldwide, distributor Lotte Entertainment confirmed on July 17 KST.
Produced by REALIES Pictures, 'Omniscient Reader: The Prophet' is a live action film adaptation of the hit South Korean fantasy web novel. The story takes place in a world where the events of an apocalyptic web novel occur in real life, and the only person who knows how the story goes is a reader named Kim Dok Ja (played by Ahn Hyo Seop).
The film, set to premiere in South Korea on July 23, has also been pre-distributed to 113 countries worldwide, according to Lotte Entertainment. Beginning with a dual-premiere in Taiwan on July 23, 'Omniscient Reader: The Prophet' will also premiere in Indonesia on July 30; in Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Malyasia, Australia, and New Zealand on July 31; and in the United States, Canada, and Vietnam on August 1. Additional premieres are scheduled later this summer in Japan, Cambodia, the Philippines, Germany, Austria, etc.
Also starring Chae Soo Bin, Shin Seung Ho, Nana, Jisoo, and more, 'Omniscient Reader: The Prophet' is directed by Kim Byung Woo of 'Take Point' (2018).
