Previously on June 18 KST, NewJeans member Danielle attended the 'OMEGA AquaTerra 30mm Launching Event' in Kyoto, Japan, creating a buzz for her first public appearance in a while.
On this day, the NewJeans member garnered attention for her dramatic transformation in a blonde bob cut and a sleek, off-shoulder dress. However, upon seeing Danielle at a public event, many onlookers raised concerns that the NewJeans member may have breached her exclusive contract with ADOR by engaging in independent activities.
Now, on June 19 KST, sources have confirmed that Danielle's appearance at the recent 'OMEGA' event was a schedule previously agreed upon with the luxury watch brand prior to the ongoing legal dispute. Danielle, who was selected as a global ambassador for 'OMEGA' last year, must continue to carry out her activities as an ambassador until her contract expires. Therefore, she will be fulfilling any remaining duties to 'OMEGA' with assistance from ADOR for the time being.
Meanwhile, most recently on June 17 KST, the South Korean court once again rejected an appeal filed by NewJeans, demanding permission to conduct independent activities free from their contractual obligations to ADOR. As it stands, the members of NewJeans must pay a penalty of 1 billion KRW per person for any activity conducted without ADOR's consent.
