Disney+ Korea has secured what may be its most unbelievable cast yet, for its upcoming new fantasy romance series, 'The Remarried Empress'.
'The Remarried Empress', set to air on Disney+ Korea in 2026, follows the story of Navier, the empress of the great Eastern kingdom, who is expelled from her title one day by her husband, emperor Sovieshu. Instead of accepting her fate, Navier chooses to re-marry prince Heinrey of the Western kingdom in order to reclaim her title as an empress.
Veteran actress Shin Min Ah returns to the small-screen as Navier, taking on the production's title role. With her smart judgement and natural eloquence, Navier stirs trouble for the great Eastern kingdom when she decides to fight back against the emperor with her cunning diplomacy.
Actor Joo Ji Hoon takes on the role of Sovieshu, while Lee Jong Suk joins the cast as Heinrey, the prince of the Western kingdom who possesses a dangerous secret. Finally, rounding out the leading cast is actress Lee Se Young, playing the role of Rashta, a runaway slave who charms emperor Sovieshu with her stunning beauty.
Veteran stars including Lee Bong Ryun, Choi Dae Hoon, Park Ho San, Jung Young Joo, and Nam Yoon Ho will also contribute to the rich storyline as key characters, raising anticipation for the depth of 'The Remarried Empress'.
According to Disney+ Korea, the full cast and crew gathered for a script reading last month on May 13. Each actor and actress immersed themselves in their characters instantly, attesting to the cast's talent and experience. Stay tuned for Shin Min Ah, Joo Ji Hoon, Lee Jong Suk, Lee Se Young, and more in 'The Remarried Empress', coming to Disney+ in 2026.
