Actor So Ji Sub expressed deep satisfaction with his married life.
On June 6, a video titled “Big Brothers Who Make You Bow Automatically | We’re Here to Promote 'Mercy For None'” was released on Netflix Korea’s official YouTube channel. The video featured 'Mercy for None' stars So Ji Sub and Jo Han Chul, who joined hosts Jonathan and Yoo Byung Jae for a lively conversation.
During the talk, So Ji Sub recalled his past as a rapper, saying, “Recently, Taecyeon, who works at the same agency, made a song. So Taecyeon, Cha Hak Yeon, and I performed in Japan under the name ‘So-Ok-Cha’ (So Ji Sub, Ok Taecyeon, Cha Hak Yeon).”
When Yoo Byung Jae asked, “I’ve always wondered when and how you fell in love with rap,” So Ji Sub shared his sincere feelings toward his fans.
He explained, “I started rapping simply because I liked it. But I’m actually tone-deaf. I began making songs because I wanted to sing for my fans when I met them. I’m not good at it, but I wanted to perform in front of them, so I started writing songs. I can only think of new songs when I have a chance to meet my fans.”
Yoo Byung Jae then brought up the topic about marriage and mentioned, "I heard Ji Sub is 1000% happy with married life." He then asked, "Do you recommend getting married?"
Expressing his affection for his wife Jo Eun Jung, “I do highly recommend it. Being together is better than being alone.” Co-star Jo Han Chul also agreed, "I recommend it too," with a laugh.
So Ji Sub married Jo Eun Jung, a reporter 17 years his junior, in 2020. He is set to appear in the Netflix series The Square, which premieres on June 6.
