Actress Kim Gyu Ri, currently drawing attention for her portrayal of the first lady in the political thriller 'The Pact,' has subtly expressed her feelings about the outcome of the recent presidential election.
On June 4, Kim posted a verse from the song Landscape by the folk group Poet and the Village Chief on her personal social media account. The excerpt reads: “The most beautiful landscape in the world: the view of everything returning to its rightful place.”
Her post came just as Lee Jae Myung’s victory in the 21st presidential election became all but certain. Many interpreted the timing and the content of her post as a reflection of her thoughts on the election results.
Kim Gyu Ri recently appeared in 'The Pact,' an occult political thriller that premiered on June 2. In the film, she takes on the role of the first lady, drawing widespread attention for her striking resemblance to former first lady Kim Keon Hee, wife of ex-president Yoon Suk Yeol.
According to the National Election Commission, Lee Jae Myung of the Democratic Party won the June 3 presidential election with 17,287,513 votes, securing 49.42% of the total vote to become South Korea’s next president.
