Actor Jo In Sung is set to appear at the '29th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN)' alongside acclaimed director Ryoo Seung Wan.
The festival's organizing committee announced on June 24 that a special program titled 'B My Guest: Filmmaker R&K' will be held, featuring a 'Mega Talk' with Jo In Sung, director Ryoo, and producer Kang Hye Jung.
'B My Guest' is an official BIFAN segment that invites notable filmmakers to engage with audiences through screenings and in-depth conversations, shining a spotlight on their most meaningful works.
This year’s spotlight is on Filmmaker R&K, the production company founded by Ryoo Seung Wan and Kang Hye Jung. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the session offers a retrospective on two decades of genre-defining cinema, and invites discussion on the present and future of genre films in Korea.

Three films will be screened as part of the program:
-
'The City of Violence' (2006), the company's first production, which introduced a new take on Korean-style action cinema.
-
'Exit' (2019), a crowd-pleasing disaster comedy praised for its perfect balance of commercial appeal and strong storytelling.
-
'Escape from Mogadishu' (2021), based on the true story of South and North Korean embassy staff escaping the Somali Civil War in 1991. The film received acclaim for its gripping suspense and compelling direction. Jo In Sung starred in this film and will be present to discuss his role.
The Mega Talk session, titled '20 Years of Filmmaker R&K: Then and Now,' will follow the screenings, offering audiences a unique opportunity to hear from the creative minds behind these influential works.
The '29th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival' will run from July 3 to July 13 in various locations across Bucheon.
