BLACKPINK’s Jennie has made a major mark with her first full-length solo album 'Ruby', which was named one of Billboard’s "50 Best Albums of 2025 So Far." Released on June 24 (local time), the list recognized Ruby as the only K-pop album to make the cut.
Billboard praised Ruby as “a debut project radiating confidence, elegance, and fierce energy.” The publication highlighted Jennie’s bold lyrics and commanding presence, noting that each track reinforces the album’s central themes and reflects her artistic identity.
Calling Ruby “rare, authentic, and multidimensional,” Billboard commended the album for showcasing Jennie’s growth and individuality.
Previously, Ruby was also named one of the best albums of 2025 by Rolling Stone and Complex. The 15-track album, entirely produced by Jennie herself, includes the title track “like JENNIE,” among others.
