Through a communication platform with fans, IU talks about her shrinking height.
To a fan’s question about her current height, IU states that she was 163.2 cm last year, but has shrunk to 162.7 cm this year.
Previously IU has also revealed her weight in a variety show, stating that she hovers in the early range of the 40s (in kg). When she was at her lightest, she even fit into child wear. Due to her petite image, people are usually shocked to find that she is in the 160s range and not the 150s range in terms of height. IU clarified that she watches her weight due to how easily her face gets chubbier, and her appetite gradually reduced over time.
Meanwhile, IU has recently concluded her drama series ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’ and has made a music comeback with her third cover album ‘A Flower Bookmark 3’ on May 27.
