Hyeri has found love—with dancer Woo Tae (34, real name Chae Woo Tae).
According to entertainment industry sources on July 1 KST, Hyeri and Woo Tae have been dating for over a year.
The couple reportedly first met while working on the 2023 film 'Victory,' in which Hyeri played the passionate leader of a rookie cheerleading squad called the Millennium Girls. In the film, she performed choreographed routines to hits like Diva’s “Why Are You Calling Me” and Deux’s “Turn Around and Look at Me”—with choreography taught by Woo Tae. Alongside fellow dancer Kinki, Woo Tae worked as a choreographer for the movie.
A source familiar with the couple said, “Filming took place in Geoje, South Gyeongsang Province. They got to know each other during choreography practice, and after returning to Seoul, they continued to go on dates and appeared very affectionate. Although they only recently began telling people close to them, they’ve been in a relationship for nearly a year.”
Another insider added, “It’s a cautious relationship built on mutual respect. They became a source of support for each other during difficult times, which made their bond stronger.”
Hyeri debuted in 2010 as a member of the four-member girl group Girl’s Day, and later transitioned into acting, building a successful career in film and television. Earlier this year, she starred in the drama 'Friendly Rivalry' and is currently holding a fan meeting tour across 10 cities in Asia.
Woo Tae is a dancer and choreographer best known for appearing on Mnet’s 'Street Man Fighter' in 2022.
