On the June 10 episode of SBS’s variety show 'Anytime You Find a Gap', Hong Jin Kyung shared her thoughts on acting alongside Yoo Jae Suk and Lee Dong Hwi.

During the show, Yoo Jaesuk mentioned Hong’s daughter, Rael, expressing curiosity about her well-being. Hong humorously responded that Rael’s colored contact lenses raise her blood pressure and joked about how her daughter uses her name to gain recognition at concerts.
The conversation then shifted to Hong’s height, with Yoo teasing her about being taller than a passing truck. Hong clarified that she recently measured 179.8 cm, though no one seemed convinced.

Later, Yoo asked Hong if she still had aspirations in acting. She explained that she approaches every field with the goal of excelling—whether as an MC in entertainment or a CEO in business. For her, the pinnacle of acting would be starring in a melodrama.
Hong then revealed that when writer Park Ji Eun initially offered her the role of Jun Ji Hyun’s friend in 'My Love from the Star', she firmly rejected it, asking for a convincing reason to take the part. However, despite minimal persuasion, she eventually accepted the role, which led her to discover a new world in acting. She emphasized that her passion for acting remains open.
