
The Coupang Play series 'Boyhood '(provided by Coupang Play | produced by The Studio M | directed by Lee Myung Woo) has sparked a sensational response since its release, creating what has been dubbed the ‘Boyhood Syndrome.’ Set against the backdrop of an agricultural high school in Chungcheong Province, the show’s lively regional dialect and unique characters quickly captured the hearts of viewers.
'Boyhood Season 1' also drew attention thanks to the outstanding performance of lead actor Im Si Wan (Siwan), whose compelling portrayal significantly contributed to the show’s popularity.
The series recorded Coupang Play’s highest viewership in 2023, boasting a remarkable 2,914% increase in viewership compared to its first week and surpassing 590,000 reviews. These impressive figures solidified its status as a blockbuster hit.
Furthermore, 'Boyhood' earned critical acclaim on both domestic and international stages, winning a total of seven awards throughout 2024. These include honors at the '3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards,' the '2024 Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards,' the '15th Korea Drama Awards,' and the '2024 Content Asia Awards,' proving the series’ excellence beyond Korea into the global content market.

'Boyhood Season 2' is set against the scenic backdrop of a coastal fisheries high school and promises an upgraded storyline and characters, heralding another wave of excitement.
