The hit Coupang Play original series 'Boyhood', originally starring Im Siwan, Lee Sun Bin, Kang Hye Won, and more, has confirmed its return with season 2.
Director Lee Myung Woo will head the series once again, this time, developing a new storyline set around a high school in a rural ocean village. In season 1, the story centered around a high school in a rural farming village in Chungcheong-do in the 1980s, garnering attention for its familiar, homey setting and its charming use of Chungcheong-do dialect.
Based on the new setting of 'Boyhood' season 2, it's likely that the original actors of season 1 will not return for season 2. The project is currently under development with aims to air in the first half of 2026.
