The June 3 broadcast of Mnet’s 'World of Street Woman Fighter' has sparked controversy among viewers after AG SQUAD was declared the winner over BUMSUP, despite a visible mistake during their performance.

The episode featured two key segments: an international target battle and a rank-based choreography mission. MC Sung Han Bin introduced the rules, explaining that while the first half focused on individual performances, the second half would emphasize teamwork. He added that a double-score system applied to the latter stage, meaning teams could significantly alter the rankings if they won.

Hyojin Choi of BUMSUP, who had ranked sixth in the first half, viewed this as a chance to turn things around. "This is our opportunity. We have to take it," she said. Leejung expressed similar determination, saying that victory in the second half was essential. BUMSUP chose AG SQUAD as their battle opponent, and although AG SQUAD responded with confidence, BUMSUP secured a clear 3–0 win.

"I was so happy I could cry," said Honey J as BUMSUP members hugged one another in celebration. However, the final rankings came as a shock. Despite the battle victory, BUMSUP remained in sixth place with six wins and nine losses. Hyojin Choi expressed her disappointment, stating that the outcome was deflating. Aiki added that it highlighted the team's shortcomings.

The following segment introduced the choreography mission. Teams were required to create a single dance video that included members from the leader, middle, and rookie classes. Honey J led BUMSUP, while Leejung, Aiki, no:ze, and Hyojin Choi joined the middle group. Lip J and Hyojin Choi participated in the rookie group.

Before the rookie choreography was selected, Lip J admitted feeling anxious. She explained that she performed her routine with subtlety, fearing others might copy her ideas. Although placed in the rookie group, she said she did not feel like a beginner. After intense competition, BUMSUP’s choreography was chosen for the final rookie routine.

In the final showdown, BUMSUP and AG SQUAD emerged as the top two rookie choreography teams. During AG SQUAD’s performance, Vanessa made a noticeable mistake but quickly recovered. Lip J had previously remarked that once rhythm is lost, it is difficult to regain. However, Vanessa managed to bounce back, drawing attention for her composure.

Despite the mistake, the judges decided on a rematch. Aliya Janell and Mike Song expressed differing opinions, leaving the final decision to J.Y. Park. He ultimately chose AG SQUAD as the winners. This decision led to disappointment among Korean viewers, with many questioning the fairness of awarding victory to a team that made an error during the performance.

Some viewers criticized the outcome, asking whether a team with a visible mistake deserved to be selected as the main dancer candidates. The controversy has fueled debate about the consistency and objectivity of J.Y. Park’s judging.

Lip J responded gracefully to the result, calling the experience a valuable lesson and thanking AG SQUAD for taking the competition seriously. Leejung expressed her frustration but remained focused, stating that despite the setback, the team must win next time.
