On May 24, South Korean actor Song Joong Ki successfully held his first-ever fan meeting in Manila, as the newest brand ambassador of the Philippine wellness company IAM Worldwide.

“This is my first time in Manila. When I was in Korea and Italy, I have Filipino friends there and they told me that Filipinos are cool, so I wanted to go to Manila to see and meet my fans,” said the actor, adding he was surprised how packed the venue, Mall of Asia Arena, was.

During the event, Joong Ki engaged in a Q&A with the host. When asked why his dramas resonate so deeply with his Filipino fans, he admitted he had no idea, even turning the question back to the crowd. A fan then shouted, “Bad boy image,” implying he would be great in such a role.

“I’m very grateful for all your love, and I’m very curious why you love my dramas so much.”

Speaking of his acting career, the show also featured a Q&A about his hit drama ‘Vincenzo.’

Regarding his favorite scenes, Joong Ki highlighted the final episode's kiss scene and the first episode's vineyard fire. “Of course, many scenes are memorable for me,” he added.

When asked about his dream role, Joong Ki expressed a desire to try various roles, specifically mentioning a “one-of-a-kind vampire” in the fantasy genre.

Meanwhile, Joong Ki is starring in an upcoming drama titled ‘My Youth.’ He portrays the character of Hae Sun Woo, a florist.
