
Actors Shin Si Ah and Han Yezee showed their support for Kang You Seok’s debut on the music program 'M! Countdown.'
On May 22, tvN drama’s official social media posted a photo featuring a man believed to be Kang You Seok alongside two women making heart signs with their hands. The caption asked, “Who came to cheer for Um Jae Il on 'M! Countdown'?”
It was later revealed that the two women were Shin Si Ah and Han Yezee. Another post shared a photo of the trio posing comfortably in front of the waiting room with the sign “Artist Waiting Room, Um Jae Il” visible behind them. The caption read, “Pyo Nam Kyung and Kim Sa Bi came running to support Um Jae Il (HI-BOYZ, Yulje Hospital). This actually happened.”
The three actors starred as first-year residents in the Obstetrics and Gynecology department at Yulje Hospital in tvN’s weekend drama 'Resident Playbook,' portraying close colleagues and friends.
The boy group HI-BOYZ was formed through 'Resident Playbook,' featuring the character Um Jae Il (played by Kang You Seok). The fictional group made a splash with their debut single 'When the Day Comes,' which tells a story of young love over upbeat guitar riffs. Kang You Seok collaborated with TXT members Soobin and Yeonjun in a performance video that gained significant attention.
'When the Day Comes' entered Melon’s Top 100 chart shortly after its release, and the performance video teaser topped YouTube’s trending charts. Riding the wave of popularity, Kang You Seok appeared on 'Mnet’s M! Countdown' as part of HI-BOYZ on May 22.
