Kanye West's solo concert in South Korea has been cancelled.

On May 19, the concert organizer Coupang Play announced, “Due to recent controversies surrounding the artist Kanye, the ‘YE Korea Concert’ scheduled for Saturday, May 31 has been inevitably canceled.”

They added, “Sales of Yeezy brand merchandise will also be halted starting from 1 PM on Monday, May 19.”

Kanye West has previously sparked controversy for antisemitic remarks and praise of Nazi ideology. According to recent international reports, he further shocked the public by releasing a song that praises dictator Adolf Hitler. 

On May 8, which marks Victory in Europe Day, commemorating the end of World War II, he released a single titled “Heil Hitler.” Following the release, major streaming platforms such as Spotify blocked access to the song.

The concert, titled 'YE (Kanye West) Korea Concert: BULLY' with Coupang Play, was originally set to take place at Incheon Munhak Stadium on May 31. It was to be his first solo concert in nine years since his 2016 world tour and would have featured a live performance of his new track "BULLY" for Korean fans. 

However, the ongoing controversy ultimately led to its cancellation.
