Actress Jeon So Min opened up about her personal journey and how she copes with malicious comments during the May 11th episode of TV Chosun’s 'Delicious Guys: Heo Young Man’s Baekban Journey.'
Appearing alongside Heo Young Man, Jeon So Min shared that she’s lived in Yongsan for eight years, saying, “I know a lot of good places to eat.” She explained, “I moved to Yongsan on my own and have never left. I wanted to live somewhere with a view of N Seoul Tower, and now that I do, I feel like I’ve succeeded. Living in central Seoul with that view makes me feel like I’ve made it.”
Now in her 22nd year since debut, Jeon So Min recalled, “I started out as a magazine model at 19.” When asked if acting was her original goal, she said, “I actually wanted to be a singer, but I’m not good at singing. If I were born again, I’d definitely want to try being a singer.” Heo Young Man jokingly asked, “How bad were you that you gave up?” prompting Jeon So Min to sing a few lines with a laugh.
Speaking about her time on 'Running Man', she shared, “I was a guest at first and was later offered a regular spot, which I held for seven years.” When Heo Young Man remarked she must have been good at hosting, Jeon So Min replied, “The male members mostly took care of the hosting. I added some variety with my unique character. For me, it was truly a happy workplace.”
When asked about dealing with negative comments, Jeon So Min responded candidly, “The more attention you receive, the more you’re exposed to hurtful things.” She added, “I know others go through it too, but many comments seem to have no real reason. If they did, I’d take time to reflect. Lately, I’ve thought maybe I should get married soon—so I can have stronger emotional support.”
