Jaejoong will unveil an extraordinary refrigerator on the May 11 episode of 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator', airing at 9 p.m. KST.
The episode features a high-stakes 15-minute cooking battle using ingredients from Jaejoong’s personal fridge. His selection—complete with homegrown vegetables and lovingly prepared homemade side dishes—impressed the chefs and marked a first in the show’s history.
One section of the fridge revealed a row of mysterious red sauces, prompting surprised reactions from the cast. In response, Jaejoong proudly declared, “I’ve tried every spicy food available in Korea.” His spice pride was met with an over-the-top comment from Jang Geun Suk, whose exaggerated bravado brought laughter to the set.
In the first round, self-proclaimed amateur chef Kim Poong goes head-to-head with the ever-confident Jang Geun Suk. Despite his usual swagger, Jang revealed his nerves once at the cooking station, saying, “My stomach’s churning, and I feel dizzy.” Meanwhile, Kim Poong, a seasoned veteran on the show, calmly countered, “I’ll present a dish that defies ethics and betrays all culinary decency,” building suspense over the result.
In the second round, Choi Hyun Seok was thrown off by an unexpected move from Han Li Guang, a Michelin-starred chef from Singapore and a longtime friend. Caught off guard, Choi sighed, “The culinary world is falling apart on a global scale.” The tension rose further when Kim Poong joked that Choi’s dish resembled one he had presented eight years earlier, saying, “This looks like a rip-off of my old recipe.” As the show’s reigning champion, all eyes are on whether Choi Hyun Seok can withstand the pressure and defend his title.
