IU has also certified that she cast her early vote for the 21st presidential election.
On May 30, IU shared a message on the fan communication platform, Berriz, saying, “I voted early yesterday. Early voting is open until 6 PM today!!!” along with a photo.
In the released photo, IU is seen standing in front of a sign for the early voting station. She drew attention for completing her vote in a natural no-makeup look, wearing a neutral-toned hat and a checkered shirt.
The early voting period for the 21st presidential election ran from the 29th to the 30th, from 6 AM to 6 PM, at 3,568 polling stations nationwide. According to the National Election Commission, the voter turnout as of 5 PM on that day was recorded at 32.95%. The official presidential election will be held on June 3.
