A new development has just occurred in the ongoing criminal case involving former NCT member Taeil. Last year, Taeil was indicted on charges of special "quasi-rape" (engaging in sexual intercourse with another person while they are unconscious or unable to resist, according to South Korean laws), along with two other unnamed individuals. The three were scheduled to appear at the first trial on May 12 at the 26th Criminal Division of the Seoul Central District Court.
However, the trial date has now been postponed. It will now take place on June 18, over a month after the originally scheduled date.
While no official reason has been given for the rescheduling, many are speculating that it is for security reasons, due to the fact that former president Yoon Suk Yeol's trial is scheduled for the same date as Taeil's trial.
June 18 will mark over a year since the crime was first reported, as Taeil was first accused on June 13, 2024.
Meanwhile, Taeil was recently spotted going out drinking with his friends.
