Actress Yum Jung Ah is now officially the wife of a general hospital director.
On May 20, Hwaseong Yuil Hospital, operated by her husband Dr. Heo Il, held a ceremony to celebrate its promotion to a general hospital. The event took place at the Sky Garden on the seventh floor of the hospital’s new wing. Among the attendees were Hwaseong Mayor Jeong Myeong Geun and Yum Jung Ah, who joined in marking the occasion.
Mayor Jeong posted a photo on his social media featuring himself with the couple. He wrote, "Hwaseong Yuil Hospital is the second general hospital in the western region of Hwaseong."
He added that for a long time, the western part of Hwaseong had only one general hospital, which caused significant inconvenience and concern among residents due to a lack of adequate medical infrastructure. He shared that he had attended the promotion ceremony of Hwaseong Yuil Hospital to help address the healthcare gap in the region.
The mayor also highlighted the hospital’s progress since its opening in 2019. He stated that it has become a leading medical institution in the western part of the city. As of February 3 this year, the hospital operates twelve departments including obstetrics and gynecology, playing a key role in supporting the health of local residents.
Yum Jung Ah married Dr. Heo Il, who is one year her senior, in 2006. The couple has a son and a daughter.
