The movie 'Holy Night: Demon Hunters' is continuing its streak at the top of the box office, two days ahead of its release.
According to ticket sales data from the Korea Film Council on April 28, 'Holy Night: Demon Hunters' ranked first in both booking rate and ticket sales, with a booking rate of 24% and 73,000 tickets reserved.
'Holy Night: Demon Hunters' is an occult action film about a team of "holy night" demon hunters—Bau (Ma Dong Seok), Sharon (Seo Hyun), and Kim Gun (Lee Da Wook)—who use their special powers to eradicate evil in a city thrown into chaos by a cult that worships darkness. The film marks Ma Dong Seok’s return to the big screen with a new project about a year after the success of 'The Roundup: Punishment'.
At a press screening held before the release, the movie received mixed reviews, but anticipation among potential viewers remains high. This excitement is largely driven by Ma Dong Seok’s popularity, cemented through his success with 'The Rounup' series, which made him one of Korea’s top actors.
'Holy Night: Demon Hunters' will be released on April 30, which coincides with Culture Day and marks the beginning of the May holiday season in South Korea.
