Girls' Generation's Sooyoung will take on the role of Katla Park in the new Hollywood film 'Ballerina', the first spinoff to the 'John Wick' franchise.
On April 24 ET, 'Ballerina' unveiled a series of character posters featuring Ana de Armas as Eve Macarro, Keanu Reeves as John Wick, and more. Sooyoung was spotted among the character posters as Katla Park, the daughter of a Ruska Roma member known as Il Seong.
Premiering in theaters across the U.S. on June 6 ET, 'Ballerina' follows the story of Eve, an assassin trained under the Ballerina program in the 'John Wick' universe. She sets out to exact revenge on the people who wronged her and faces off against familiar characters from the 'John Wick' franchise. One of Eve's first missions from Ballerina is to protect Katla Park.
Meanwhile, Sooyoung is also set to greet viewers in Korea through her new tvN series 'Second Shot at Love', premiering on May 12 KST.
