The episode of 'You Quiz on the Block' featuring actress Han Ga In has been removed from TVING.
According to Star News on March 6, episode 282 of the tvN variety show 'You Quiz on the Block' has been made unavailable on the OTT platform TVING.
The episode, which aired on February 26, featured South Korean short-track speed skating national team members Park Ji Won, Kim Gil Li, and Jang Sung Woo, as well as student Yoon Joo Eun, who left a legendary quote six years ago. Han Ga In also appeared as a guest for an interview.
However, Han Ga In recently became a controversial figure associated with the keywords "Daechi Mom" and "Dochi Mom," leading to negative public sentiment. In response, TVING appears to have temporarily taken down the episode.
The controversy began when comedian Lee Soo Ji’s fake documentary parodying "Daechi-dong moms" gained significant attention. This inadvertently brought scrutiny to Han Ga In, as she had previously shared a video of her taking her children to private academies. The situation escalated as malicious comments were directed toward her children, ultimately leading her to make the video private.
Regarding this, Ahn Joo Hee, the producer of Honeybee Studio, which manages Han Ga In’s YouTube channel Hangainisfree, confirmed to Star News, "It is true that the video of Han Ga In picking up her children, which was uploaded last year, has been taken down," adding, "There are no plans for re-uploading." She explained that the decision was made because "there were too many malicious comments about Han Ga In’s children, and it was done to protect them."
Later, Han Ga In appeared on 'You Quiz on the Block' and clarified, "Because of my image, people think I push my kids to study excessively, but that’s absolutely not true." Despite her explanation, negative comments toward her have continued.
Although Han Ga In’s 'You Quiz on the Block' episode has been removed from TVING, clips of her appearance remain available on the official 'You Quiz on the Block' website, on portal sites, and on YouTube.
