SHINee member Onew is set to release his first English-language single, "MAD," on April 21st.
Along with the announcement, Onew’s official social media channels revealed a teaser image for "MAD." The image, featuring a moody dark background and bold red text displaying the song title and release date, has sparked curiosity among fans.
Onew will also debut a special live performance of "MAD" during his upcoming solo concert "2025 ONEW CONCERT [ONEW THE LIVE : CONNECTION] IN TAIPEI" (referred to as "CONNECTION") on April 5th.
"CONNECTION" is a brand-new concert series centered on live band performances, which Onew has previously held in Yokohama, Japan, and Seoul, South Korea. Following the Taipei and Macau stops, Onew will continue his tour across eight cities in North America.
To further connect with global fans, Onew decided to release "MAD" in English. The song features full English lyrics designed to be easy for fans to sing along to—reflecting Onew’s deep appreciation for his international audience.
"MAD" will be officially released on April 21st at 6 PM KST on major music platforms. Fans will get an exclusive preview during the special live performance at his solo concert in Taipei on April 5th.
