IU reveals why she continues to diet despite her slim figure

Yoo Jae Suk then asked if IU also enjoys eating, and IU revealed, “I used to love eating, but at some point, my appetite just started to decrease.”

Known for her slender figure, IU explained that her diet journey started early in her career. “I used to love sweets, and since I tend to gain weight on my face first, I always had to be on a diet after my debut,” she said. Despite her slim build, IU has struggled with her body image, especially because she was often scrutinized for her weight. However, IU shared that her relationship with food has changed over the years. "At some point, I stopped craving food as much. My appetite has naturally decreased, and I think my stomach has also shrunk." Her slimmer figure, while often seen as effortless, has been maintained through conscious choices and discipline.
