Koo Jun-yeop married Taiwanese actress Seo Hee-won in 2022. Koo, who rose to fame as part of the duo Clon, and Seo, beloved for her role as the female lead in the Taiwanese version of Boys Over Flowers, secretly dated in the late 1990s before breaking up. Their movie-like love story reignited when Seo, who had been married since 2011, reached out to Koo following her divorce in 2021. The couple’s reunion and subsequent marriage became a widely discussed topic.
