Big Bang's Daesung knelt before 2NE1's CL.

On December 13, Big Bang's Daesung shared some fun moments with 2NE1's CL on his personal YouTube channel, 'Zip Daseung.' The episode, titled “Let's Hang Out Like This Until We're 60😉 | I'll Be a Grandma!!😡 | ZIP DAESUNG ep.34," showcased their playful friendship.

CL appeared as a special guest, marking a rare reunion between the two YG Entertainment legends. Daesung began the conversation by saying, “The reason you’re here today is because I said, ‘Chaerin (CL's real name) has really improved her singing skills.’” CL was visibly surprised, and responded, “What’s gotten into you, oppa? Since when do you give out compliments?”

This reference dates back to Episode 26 of Daesung’s show, where he had previously praised CL's vocal growth. Recalling the moment, CL thanked him, saying, “I was really grateful. You don’t usually say things like that.”

Daesung revealed that he initially had concerns about 2NE1's reunion performance, saying, “To be honest, I was a little worried. It had been a while since the four of you got together. I even heard that one of you wasn’t showing up for practice.”

CL quickly refuted this claim, prompting Daesung to reveal the truth. He shared, “I share a makeup shop with Dara, and every time I went there, she was always there. I asked her, ‘Are you practicing well?’ and she said, ‘We’re practicing like machines.’”

CL confirmed this, sharing that the group had practiced every single day for three months, even during the Chuseok holiday, demonstrating their unwavering dedication.

Daesung then mentioned his past experience on the 'Cancel Quiz' show of Psick Univ YouTube channel, where he made a controversial remark. In one part of the show, he had been asked to choose who the “non-essential member of 2NE1” is and he picked Gong Minzy, which stirred significant backlash online.

CL directly addressed the incident, saying, “I was so shocked. Oppa, you deserve to be scolded for that. That’s really not okay, sir.”

Realizing the gravity of his mistake, Daesung immediately knelt down on his chair on the spot, sincerely apologizing, “I didn’t expect it to turn out like that.” CL quipped, “That’s not something you should be saying to me.”

Daesung assured her, “I contacted Minzy right after that and apologized to her directly.”
