Actor Ahn Se Ha personally addressed school bullying allegations.
On October 10, Ahn Se Ha shared the below handwritten letter on Instagram. The actor has faced allegations of being the perpetrator of school violence during his middle school years, and former classmates spoke up to state they'd suffered from his bullying during his school days.
According to alleged former classmates, Ahn Se Ha was notorious as the leader of the bullies at school, and there were times he threatened classmates with broken glass, forced fights, and verbally abused them. Though Ahn Se Ha's label has denied the allegations, the accusations have led to the cancellation of his public activities and his position as an ambassador for the National Theater Festival.
In his letter, Ahn Se Ha wrote, "I sincerely apologize for causing concern due to the series of events related to me. The reason I have not expressed my stance until now is that I initially believed it was more objective to legally identify and punish those spreading false information, and that it would be right to clarify my position afterward. However, as their malicious attacks and false interviews continued, I felt that it might be difficult to live as a proud father and son if things continued this way. I resolved to clarify the facts myself. All internet posts and their claims are blatant falsehoods, and I have no intention of returning to acting while apologizing for these false claims stemming from distorted memories. I believe it is my destiny to resolve this injustice so that I can live as an upright father, which is why I requested a police investigation. I have completed the inquiry honestly. Finally, I sincerely thank everyone who believes in and supports me."
