Han Ji Min and Lee Je Hoon confirmed as hosts for 'Blue Dragon Film Awards'.
The two actors have been confirmed as the hosts for the '45th Blue Dragon Film Awards,' which will take place on November 29 at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul.
Han Ji Min started her acting career in 2003 with the SBS drama 'All In' and her film debut in the 2005 movie 'Blue Swallow'. She was recognized for her acting when she won the 'Best Actress Award' at the '39th Blue Dragon Film Awards' in 2018 for 'Miss Baek', and she'll be taking over the mantle of host from Kim Hye Soo.
Lee Je Hoon debuted in 2006 with the short film 'Truth, Litmus', and he won 'Best New Actor' at the '32nd Blue Dragon Film Awards' with the 2011 film 'Bleak Night', which made a mark on the Korean indie film scene.
Han Ji Min expressed, "Considering Kim Hye Soo's stature and legacy, I never imagined I would follow in her footsteps as a host. I truly feel her presence as a representative of the 'Blue Dragon Film Awards,' and I extend my deep respect to her. I will work hard to carry on the tradition and dignity she established. I decided to take on the role of MC amid the pressure because I want to contribute even a little to the Korean film industry, which is currently going through a difficult time. I hope the 'Blue Dragon Film Awards' will once again convey hope and encouragement to filmmakers and audiences alike, and I will sincerely strive to uphold its traditions and values."
Lee Je Hoon also said, "When I was offered the opportunity to host the beloved 'Blue Dragon Film Awards,' I felt a mix of worry and overwhelming excitement. It's an incredible honor to take on this role for an awards ceremony I have admired since childhood as someone who truly loves film. As this is a celebration for many filmmakers and audiences, I will prepare diligently to ensure I do not let them down. I will do my utmost to continue the prestige and dignity of the 'Blue Dragon Film Awards' established by many senior actors, including Kim Hye Soo."
