The '2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival' is set to take place over two weekends, from April 11–13 and April 18–20 (KST).
Leading this year’s lineup is none other than K-pop powerhouse Big Bang, marking the group’s first scheduled activity as they celebrate their 20th anniversary.
Big Bang’s performance at the '2024 Mnet MAMA Awards' showcased once again why the group has inspired countless K-pop artists worldwide. Originally slated to perform at Coachella in 2020, Big Bang’s appearance was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving fans disappointed.
In the six years since, the group has reformed from a four-member to a three-member unit. This year’s Coachella performance will feature G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung. While some fans had hoped for a surprise appearance by former member T.O.P, his recent solo album and statements make such a reunion unlikely.
Big Bang is scheduled to headline the Outdoor Theatre on April 13 and April 20 (KST). The Outdoor Theatre, one of Coachella’s seven stages, is the second-largest outdoor venue at the festival. A teaser video released for the performance shows the Big Bang flag planted at the center of a glowing moon, hinting at the grandeur of the upcoming show.
This year’s festival also features major international pop acts such as Justin Bieber and Sabrina Carpenter, with Colombia’s Karol G as a headliner. Other notable performers include the returning band The xx, Nine Inch Nails, the electronic project Nine Inch Noise by Boys Noize, indie legend David Byrne, and DJ Armin van Buuren, among others.
Fans around the world are eagerly anticipating Big Bang’s long-awaited return to the Coachella stage, making this year’s festival a historic moment for both the group and global K-pop fans.
