Actress and venture company CEO Koo Hye Sun has introduced a new handmade leather pouch priced in the 230,000 KRW range, following the sold-out success of her previous 150,000 KRW handmade pouch.
On April 9, Koo Hye Sun shared on her social media, “The Kooroll handmade pouches have completely sold out. This time, I created a new pouch bag,” alongside product photos and a magazine pictorial from her early debut days showcasing her youthful appearance. Describing the new item, she said, “Rather than a product, I approached it as a piece of art, carefully crafting each detail by hand,” adding, “I hope it can be seen as a commemorative item for my 24th debut anniversary.”

The product is currently being sold on her official store for around 230,000 KRW. Previously, Koo Hye Sun launched the self-developed and patented hair roller “Kooroll,” along with a handmade leather pouch designed to store it. At the time, the pouch set drew online criticism over its relatively high 150,000 KRW (approx. 102 USD) price tag, sparking controversy over alleged overpricing.
In response, Koo Hye Sun explained, “The initial production quantity was small, which led to higher costs,” and shared plans to reduce the financial burden on consumers through future events. Despite the controversy, her previous products consistently sold out, and the newly released premium lineup is also attracting significant public attention.
Meanwhile, Koo Hye Sun has recently made notable academic achievements as well. After graduating from Sungkyunkwan University, she completed a master’s degree in science journalism at KAIST’s Graduate School of Future Strategy ahead of schedule, earning an engineering master’s degree—further expanding her accomplishments beyond acting and business.
