Following the criticism, Yeonjun issued an apology on Weverse and stated:
"Hello, this is Yeonjun.
I failed to respect the historical significance and meaning of National Liberation Day and carelessly uploaded a photo.
I sincerely apologize to everyone who was hurt by my thoughtless actions. I will reflect on my shortcomings and be more mindful in the future to ensure that something like this does not happen again.
