On August 15, Felix received criticism for referring to a Japanese song on Liberation Day and issued an apology soon after. He wrote, "First and foremost, I want to apologize to all those who were disappointed by my thoughtless behavior, including my fans. In the early hours of August 15th, while discussing a short-form challenge with fans on a personal communication community, I mentioned a Japanese song. I sincerely apologize for my lack of consideration and thoughtlessness on this meaningful Liberation Day."
