Actress Kim So Hyun, who follows ~6,500 people on social media, reveals she gets 'Unfollowed' by fans.
On July 23 KST, the YouTube channel 'Neighborhood Star K' uploaded a video titled "Kim So Hyun and Chae Jong Hyup: Faces that Speak for Themselves (ft. Serendipity's Embrace)". The video featured actors Kim So Hyun and Chae Jong Hyup, who are currently starring in the drama 'Serendipity's Embrace'.
Jonathan asked Kim So Hyun, "Many celebrities maintain zero followings on Instagram for aesthetic reasons, but I heard you follow just anyone." As of the filming date, Kim So Hyun was following 6,445 accounts.
Kim So Hyun explained, "I think I started using social media when I was in middle school. I didn't have many fans back then. I was very grateful for those who followed me because they liked me. Out of gratitude, I followed everyone back."
She added, "I followed people back even right before going to bed. I don't usually unfollow anyone, but a lot of people unfollow me," she laughed. Kim So Hyun shared, "I've received DMs saying, 'Unnie, I'm really a fan, but I had to unfollow you because I went private.' If you look closely, my following count decreases. I don't unfollow anyone."
