BTS Jin announces ‘hug event’ to celebrate reunion with fans

It was recently announced on Weverse that BTS member Jin will be holding an in-person event to celebrate 2024 FESTA. The event will be held on June 13, only one day after Jin’s discharge from the military.

The event will consist of two parts: the first session will be a meet-and-greet, while the second session will involve performances requested by fans.

The meet-and-greet has gained attention due to one unique feature—it will involve a three hour-long ‘hug event’ in which fans can engage in light hugs with Jin. It’s reported that Jin personally requested for this to be part of the event. Fans will be selected by raffle to determine who can participate in this event. If any fans who are selected do not wish to participate in a hug with Jin, they can opt to replace it with a handshake instead.

During the second part of the event, Jin will perform various songs at the request of fans. He will also conclude his ‘Message from Jin’ series. This part of the event will be available to watch online.

Weverse’s official announcement states the reason for this unique event: “This event was prepared in order to fulfill Jin’s wish to spend meaningful time with ARMY in person on BTS’s debut day. We invite you to join us as we express our gratitude for your unwavering love for BTS.”
