2LSON's Jason has passed away unexpectedly at the age of 43.
According to reports on June 26, 2LSON member Noel revealed the sudden death of his groupmate, stating, "2LSON member Jason visited Thailand for a vacation, but he passed away while he was there on June 12 due to a sudden heart attack. His funeral was held on June 17."
Noel further shared the 3 members had not stayed in touch recently as they were busy with their personal lives. He expressed, "We had been out of touch due to our respective occupations, so I was deeply shocked to hear the sudden news. It took me some time to gather my thoughts to deliver this news because the shock to Jason's family was immense... Because he was a composer who received much love from the public, I wanted to convey this final news."
2LSON, a producing team composed of Jason, LE, and Noel, was formed in 2011 and last promoted in 2020. The trio is most known for their collaboration song with Ailee, "I'm in Love".
