SM Entertainment has made an official statement on SHINee's contracts.
Questions about SHINee's future with SM Entertainment started up following the news Taemin and Onew are leaving the label, and SME has now released an official update on their contract with the group. According to the agency, SHINee's activities as a group will continue under SM Entertainment, while the members' individual activities will be decided separately.
SM Entertainment stated, "SHINee's activities will continue under SM Entertainment without change, and the contracts for their individual activities will be decided according to each individual member's wishes. We're discussing group and individual activities with Minho and Key in a positive light, and Onew is exploring other options. Our exclusive contract with Taemin expires in March. Taemin's next step after his contract expiration has not been confirmed, and we've heard he is considering various options."
