On the July 17 broadcast of SBS's family variety program 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2', the transnational couple Choo Ja Hyun and Yu Xiao Guang returned to greet viewers for the first time in approximately 2 years. 

The couple started out by addressing the "cheating scandal" from 2 years ago head on. Choo Ja Hyun said, "I feel apologetic about the fact that about 2 years ago, there was an unfortunate incident. One careless act led to the disappointment of many people."

Choo Ja Hyun then revealed her thoughts on the scandal, reflecting, "We are a couple that is constantly in touch through video calls. Whenever we are out, meeting others, we let the other person know whom we are with. I knew all of the people that [Yu Xiao Guang] was with that night very well. We are neighbors."

She continued, "I am good friends with the woman [who was involved in the scandal]. She was on her phone as she got in the car, and she sat on his lap for a brief moment before moving to the back, but before that moment was caught, the car started moving and so it appeared as if she rode on his lap as they left." 

Yu Xiao Guang also opened up about his memories of the incident. "The footage was edited with malicious intent. I wanted to explain that it was not what it looked like, but I felt that people just were not interested in what I had to say. They all wanted to believe in only what they saw, that scandalous incident. I thought that time would bring out the truth. At that time, I was most apologetic toward my wife." 

Previously in July of 2021, Yu Xiao Guang was filmed leaving a restaurant late at night in a car with another woman on his lap. 

Later on, Choo Ja Hyun and Yu Xiao Guang introduced viewers to their 6-year old son, Bada, for the first time on television. The couple also opened up about the struggles they faced while being separated for a year and a half due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which resulted in Bada growing distant from his father. 

Fortunately, Yu Xiao Guang was able to make up for the language barrier between him and his son through physical interactions, and Bada began learning Chinese to communicate with his father, while Yu Xiao Guang began learning Korean to better communicate with his son.
