Canadian Actor Who Underwent 12 Surgeries to look like BTS' Jimin Tragically Passes Away in a Korean Hospital

[UPDATE: This story reported by the Daily Mail appears to be a hoax, read more here.]

The British news media outlet Daily Mail reported on April 24 that a Canadian actor who underwent 12 plastic surgeries to resemble BTS's Jimin had died in a hospital in South Korea.

According to reports, the Canadian actor named Saint Von Colucci (age 22) passed away the morning of April 23 at a hospital in South Korea due to complications from plastic surgery he received several months earlier.

Eric Blake, the publicist for Saint Von Colucci, told Daily Mail, "He went into surgery on Saturday night to remove implants from his jaw that he had put in in November. The young artist... developed an infection from the implants, and due to complications he had been intubated and died hours later."

It was revealed that Saint Von Colucci wanted a face similar to that of BTS's Jimin, so he underwent 12 plastic surgeries in the past year. He spent around 220,000 USD on jaw surgery, implant placement, facelift, eyebrow lift, nose surgery, lip reduction, and minor procedures.

Blake stated that Von Colucci knew of the risks of chin implants but wanted to have them done. He explained, "Von Colucci wasn't confident about his appearance. He had a very square jawline and chin, and he didn't like the shape of it because he thought it was too wide and wanted a V-shape, the shape many Asians have."

Saint Von Colucci came to Korea in 2019 and became a trainee at one of Korea's largest entertainment companies, according to Eric.

Saint Von Colucci is known in Korea as a Canadian-Portuguese singer-songwriter. He was set to make his debut through a role as a K-pop idol in a new Korean drama set to air on major streaming platforms in the US starting in October. In the drama, Saint Von Colucci played the role of a rich European exchange student who happens to become a K-pop idol overnight.

Blake added, "Von Colucci was very happy and worked really hard. This is very tragic and unfortunate. He had a very difficult time finding a job in Korea. He felt he was discriminated against because of his Western appearance."

No oath-taken medical professional should have allowed themselves to work on him and have him continue destroying and disfiguring himself at the cost of his own life. Why isn't mental state taken into account when clients like these show up at their office? Just look at cases like Jessica Alves, for example. Is all about money, every single time. RIP young man. 🙏
