Emerging R&B singer-songwriter Min Jiwoon is officially stepping into the spotlight with the release of her first EP, 'Pink, then grey,' marking the beginning of her full-fledged music career.
The artist, who is the first to be signed under SM Entertainment’s contemporary R&B label KRUCIALIZE, unveiled the full EP on August 22 at 1 PM KST across all major music platforms. Simultaneously, the music video for the title track, "Scared of Love," premiered on KRUCIALIZE’s official YouTube channel.
Pink, then grey features six tracks, including double title songs "Scared of Love" and "byebye." Min Jiwoon contributed to the writing and composition of every song, expressing the emotional journey of love’s beginning and end through vivid musical tones, showcasing her deepening artistic identity.
The lead single "Scared of Love" is a pop-R&B track blending acoustic guitar, bass, and drums, highlighted by lyrics capturing both excitement and anxiety, paired with Min Jiwoon’s delicate vocal delivery. Meanwhile, "byebye" embraces urban contemporary R&B, combining 808 bass, guitar, and vocal samples, produced by the global production team 2DUMB.
With this debut, Min Jiwoon sets a strong foundation as a promising new voice in the R&B scene, offering both heartfelt lyrics and sophisticated musicality.
